The House of Promise/MSU LEAD Campaign Challenge
Join The House of Promise/MSU LEAD Campaign to help with the fight against human trafficking in the MSU and Greater Lansing Area.
The House of Promise/MSU LEAD Campaign was born out of passion from three student employees of the MSU Women’s Resource Center as part of the annual “Student-led Series” to fight against human trafficking. These individuals teamed up with Ms. Shari Montgomery, President and Founder of The House of Promise to both educate and raise awareness about human trafficking in its many forms, and thus, The House of Promise/MSU LEAD Campaign was developed. The goal of the campaign is designed as a challenge to the MSU and Greater Lansing area to educate and raise funds to purchase The House of Promise residential safe place for young women and girls who have been trafficked.
Friendly “challenges” are designed to compete with residence halls to residence halls, floors to floors, all students to faculty and staff, RSOs to RSOs, Greek to Greek, College to College, Unit to Unit, MSU to community (business to business, organization to organization, individual to individual), etc., during the Fall 2015-16 academic year, however donations will be accepted on an ongoing basis. The “challenge” is for each entity to raise more funds than their competitor as well as raise awareness about human trafficking.
For a FUNDRAISING BOOKLET with detailed descriptions, guidelines, and challenge dates for The House of Promise/MSU LEAD Campaign, and how you can participate, please view the highlighted links to REGISTER, learn more and/or make a CHALLENGE DONATION.
